To prepare you for the diverse terrains of Death Stranding 2, here is everything you need to know about its pricing, pre-order bonus content, extra editions, and how you can play the game early.

Death Stranding 2 Pre-Order Bonus

If you pre-order Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, you will receive several in-game items. These include the following:

  • Custom Hologram: Quokka (EARLY UNLOCK)
  • Battle Skeleton: Silver [Lv1, Lv2, Lv3]
  • Boost Skeleton: Silver [Lv1, Lv2, Lv3]
  • Bokka Skeleton: Silver [Lv1, Lv2, Lv3]

That’s quite a bit of content, especially when the Skeletons provide gameplay benefits. Each of these represents different abilities like Strength and Speed, so having these in early game could make deliveries and combat encounters easier. Additionally, there’s a Quokka hologram which will be unlocked earlier as well. This likely implies that players can get this by playing the game normally as well.

Death Stranding 2 Pre-Orders Date

The pre-orders for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will go live on March 17, 2025.

How To Play Death Stranding 2 Early

If you’re keen to play Death Stranding 2 a bit early, you can pre-order the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition and enjoy the title two days before its official launch starting June 24, 2025. This gives you 48 hours of early access along with the additional content that comes with these editions.

Death Stranding 2 Release Date

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 on June 26, 2025. Check out the breathtaking trailer featuring tons of cinematics, new character reveals as well as traversal and combat gameplay showcasing some of the new environments Sam will tread.

Overall, Death Stranding 2 provides some decent incentives for pre-ordering. We’re not a fan of more publishers adopting the early access model for their major releases, as it creates a sense of FOMO, potentially encouraging players to buy the more expensive editions.

Outside of that, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is shaping up to be one of the best-looking titles of 2025, and we’re excited to see what Hideo Kojima and everyone at Kojima Productions have been working on for the past few years.
