How to Get the Kyubi Assault Rifle in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

Would you swim in stagnant water for a gun?

Have you ever looked at a pool of toxic green water and thought, wow, I wonder what’s at the bottom? No? Well, then, it’s unlikely you would have ever found the iconic Power Assault Rifle Kyubi X-MOD2. This is a shame because it’s a pretty good gun you can find early on in the Phantom Liberty DLC. Here’s how to find the Kyubi X-MOD2 in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to Find the Iconic Weapon Kyubi X-MOD2 in Cyberpunk 2077

So, first things first. If you don’t have Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, you won’t be able to access this weapon. Sorry, but Kyubi and 32 other iconic weapons are exclusive to the DLC.

If you do have the DLC, here’s what you’ll need to do to get Kyubi X-MOD2 in Phantom Liberty.

First, you’ll need to be able to free-roam in Dogtown. You won’t have the chance to do this until you’ve completed most of Lucretia My Reflection, the third main mission in the Phantom Liberty DLC.

Once you can roam Dogtown, reach the Golden Pacific fast travel point. This fast travel point is almost dead center on the map.

When you’ve found it, you’ll need to find the stagnant green pool.

The pool is at the bottom of the Roar of Eden, immediately opposite the Golden Pacific fast travel point. You’ll know you’ve found the right building because there’s a giant lion on it.

Dive right in and be prepared to dive. The gun is at the very bottom of the pool, next to the body of a man who was sent to swim with the fishes.

Grab the gun and start your ascent immediately. You do have an oxygen timer, but it’s generous enough that you should survive the dive.

Get to the surface, and Kyubi X-MOD2 is yours. This Power Assault Rifle’s bullets ricochet off surfaces. It also offers a 150% headshot damage multiplier and 25% armor penetration.

Not bad for a quick swim! But I bet V smells disgusting.
