How to Get the Fourth Horseman in Destiny 2

It's not a holdout weapon; it's a pathfinder.

One look at The Fourth Horseman, and you’ll know it’s old. It just has the D1 aesthetic, you know? But don’t count this stallion (and its rider) out just yet. It might be the best shotgun you bring to the PvE table. So, if you’re down to ride this pale horse, here’s how to get The Fourth Horseman in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Fourth Horseman in Destiny 2

The Fourth Horseman is a shotgun that frequently gets forgotten, buried by dozens of other guns with a little more utility. But if you’ve seen the series of YouTube videos of The Fourth Horseman absolutely nuking bosses (including the Root of Nightmares raid boss, Nezarec), you might be wondering how to grab this gun for yourself.

This gun is easy to find but hard to afford.

While The Fourth Horseman was (fittingly) released during the Shadowkeep expansion, it can only be found in one place: the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower. If you haven’t visited the Monument before, it’s in between the two Vault consoles on the wall between Lord Shaxx and Banshee-44.

Interact with the Monument and locate Shadowkeep Exotics. There, you’ll find The Fourth Horseman, which costs:

  • One Exotic Cipher
  • 125,000 Glimmer
  • 200 Legendary Shards
  • One Ascendant Shard

While The Fourth Horseman is currently doing insane damage, Bungie will likely fix up that bug soon. So, grab it quick!

But even if it does get fixed, The Fourth Horseman is a decent mini-boss killer. Its Basic Intrinsic, Thunderer, offers a significant increase to rate of fire which you just don’t see with most shotguns.
