How to Get the Fell Wispwyvern Head in Enshrouded
Your Flame needs a wyvern head. Time to hunt one down.
The Fell Wispwyvern is one of the first major bosses you’ll face in Enshrouded. Its head is a key material you’ll need to strengthen your Flame from Level 3 to Level 4. The fight can be challenging if you’re not prepared.
Here’s where to find the Fell Wispwyvern and how to get its head.
Where to Find the Fell Wispwyvern in Enshrouded

The Fell Wispwyvern is located in the courtyard of The Pike, a castle in the northern part of Pikemead’s Reach in Revelwood.
The easiest way to reach the boss is to follow the main quest, Reach the Capital, Pikemead’s Reach. If the quest isn’t showing up, you might need to complete the Blacksmith’s Crucible Needed for a Smelter quest first. Once you’ve completed it, speak to the Blacksmith to unlock Reach the Capital, Pikemead’s Reach.
The quest takes you into the abandoned capital and eventually leads you to The Pike, where you’ll encounter the Fell Wispwyvern.
Once you reach The Pike, head into the courtyard to trigger the boss fight. Prepare yourself before you enter, as you’ll need to defeat the Fell Wispwyvern to get its head.
How to Beat the Fell Wispwyvern

The Fell Wispwyvern is a brutal gear check, so you’ll want to be well-equipped before taking it on. It has several attacks to watch out for, including Shroud projectiles, a breath attack, a pounce, and a tail sweep. Keep moving and dodge its attacks rather than trying to deal damage constantly. Here’s how to handle each attack.
Pounce: The Wispwyvern leaps toward you, and getting hit will stun you briefly. Your best bet is to dodge out of the way. The Blink skill from the Battlemage skill tree can also come in handy if you’ve unlocked it.
Tailspin: This is a melee attack where the Wispwyvern spins and hits you with its tail. Dodging is your best bet here, as getting hit will stun you briefly.
Icy Beam: The Wispwyvern shoots a beam of ice toward you. There’s a short animation before the attack, so use that time to prepare your dodge. This attack deals significant damage, but it also provides an opportunity to damage the boss. Dodge out of the beam’s path, then shoot an arrow or fire a wand projectile directly into its mouth. Hitting its mouth during the appropriate opening can stun the boss, giving you time to follow up with your strongest attacks.
Ice Comets: The boss looks up and rains icy comets down on you. A ring appears on the ground to indicate where the comets will land. Dodge out of the marked areas to avoid taking damage.
Open Mouth: This isn’t technically an attack, but it allows you to stun the boss. The Wispwyvern opens its mouth to absorb energy from its surroundings. Shoot a projectile into its open mouth to stun it and create an opening for your strongest attacks.
In short, focus on dodging its attacks and stunning the boss whenever it opens its mouth.
Repeat this strategy while dealing with any Fell Beetles that get in your way. The fight becomes much more manageable once you learn to recognize the boss’s attack patterns and take advantage of its vulnerable moments.
How to Use the Fell Wispwyvern Head

After defeating the Fell Wispwyvern, loot its body to obtain the Fell Wispwyvern Head. The boss also drops other rewards, including Shroud Cores, Legendary Runes, a Commander’s Ring, and the Key to The Pike.
The Fell Wispwyvern Head is required to strengthen your Flame from Level 3 to Level 4. You’ll also need other materials for this upgrade, including Goo, Sparks, Indigo Plants, Amber, Copper Ore, and Corrupted Boar Tusks.
Once you’ve gathered everything, return to your Flame Altar and select the option to strengthen your Flame. Completing the upgrade increases your Shroud time and allows you to progress further into Embervale.
