How to Get the Exotic Helm Precious Scars in Destiny 2

Wear your scars with pride

If there’s one thing I know, it’s that Precious Scars is the Exotic Helm I want to see when I’m raiding with a Titan. But it’s rare you ever see it. If you’re trying to become an impenetrable juggernaut that also happens to keep your friends alive, here’s how to get the Exotic Helm Precious Scars in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Exotic Helm Precious Scars in Destiny 2

If there’s one thing Titans do very well, it’s taking the blows that no one else wants to. That’s the spirit of the Exotic Helm, Precious Scars. Its poetically named Exotic Perk, Kintsugi, ensures that final blows from weapons with a damage type match your subclass energy to create a burst of healing around you. And on top of that, after reviving or being revived, you gain an aura that provides overshields to you and nearby allies.

For those who like hard numbers, Precious Scars grants you and allies within 15 meters of you a 100HP Overshield for 10 seconds after you revive an ally or after you’re revived. But if an ally leaves your radius (which extends 15 meters outwards), they lose the overshield that Precious Scars grants. And if you lose Overshield, so does everyone else.

But its primary benefit is its ability to heal. It heals you and your allies within 15 meters for approximately 60 health after you get a weapon kill with a matching subclass element. But there is a 3-second cool down. Sounds great, right? It’s the perfect Exotic for all end-game activities, from Raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls, with the added benefit of giving you sustainability.

And getting your hands on it is straightforward. You have two options:

  • Complete a Legend or Master Level Lost Sector
  • Complete Vex Incursion Zones

Master and Legend difficulty Lost Sectors are a challenging end game activity that buffs the enemies you’ll face within. These Lost Sectors are chosen on a rotating schedule, with each one offering either an Exotic helmet, chest piece, gauntlets, or leg piece. That means on a day in which a Legend Lost Sector is dropping an exotic Helmet, there’s a chance to get Precious Scars. Or you might get something entirely different!

Vex Incursion Zones are rare random events that occur on Neomuna. These events will pit you against six bosses. Successfully defeat all six within a time limit and you have a chance to get any Exotic you don’t already have. That includes Exotics that were previously exclusive to Master and Legend Lost Sectors, like Precious Scars.

Good luck getting it, Guardian!
