How to Get the Exile Armor in Destiny 2

Finally, a chance to earn what was once lost

Each year, Destiny 2 releases some of the most finely crafted armor, exclusive to the Trials of Osiris. These armor sets frequently match the aesthetic of the weapons that are also released and almost always prove to be the best PvP weapons around. But getting a singular armor piece, much less a whole set, has proven to be one of the biggest challenges in Destiny. And for those who can’t turn back the sands of time, certain armor sets seem to be gone forever. Or are they? Here’s how to get the Exile Armor in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Exile Armor in Destiny 2

The Exile Armor is actually composed of multiple armor pieces, from the Class Item to the Helmet. This armor set as a whole was released in Year 3 of Destiny 2, or 2019. And since then, it’s been vaulted, replaced by a steadfast release of other Trials of Osiris Armor.

Players have been begging for this particular set to be taken out of the vault for years, and those prayers have fallen on deaf ears. But in 2023, that might change.

Lightfall has seen the arrival of many new changes in Destiny, from the erasure of the Blue Engram plague to the ungating of all armor and weapon mods. But in a recent blog post, Bungie has promised more changes are on the way.

Legacy Focusing will be one of those changes, allowing players to obtain gear from the last several years of Destiny, many of which haven’t been accessible in a long time. This policy will touch everything from the Crucible to Gambit… and yes, that includes Trials of Osiris.

Players will now be able to obtain Pyrrhic Ascent and the Exile Armor, at a cost.

If you’ve never obtained a piece of Trials of Osiris gear previously, expect to pay:

  • 7 Trials Engrams
  • 100 Legendary Shards
  • 10,000 Glimmer
  • If  a player has acq

If you’ve acquired a piece of Trials of Osiris gear previously, you’ll need:

  • 3 Trials Engrams
  • 25 Legendary Shards
  • 25,000 Glimmer

For many players, like myself, who either missed Year 3 or were dormant at that time, this is welcome news. Good luck getting it for yourself!
