Tears of the Kingdom Is My First Ever Zelda Game and It’s a Wild Ride

How to Get Tabantha Wheat in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

If you do the cooking by the book

Among fields of mushrooms and harvestable goods in Tears of the Kingdom, there are several ingredients worth collecting hidden away which you might miss if you don’t know where to find them. Tabantha Wheat is one of the more basic ingredients you’ll need to craft any pasty-based dish, making it a pretty integral addition to your cooking pot for things like pies and pastries, but it’s not as easy to find as your standard herbs and spices. Here’s how to get Tabantha Wheat in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to Find Tabantha Wheat in Tears of the Kingdom

As its name suggests, Tabantha Wheat can be found in the Tabantha frontier in Hyrule, toward the South of Rito Village. There’s a pretty significant stretch of land to cover when hunting for Tabantha Wheat, which makes it pretty common if you know where to look. Similar to harvesting Hylian Rice, you need to swing a sword in long grass across the Frontier to harvest Tabantha Wheat.

There’s no guarantee Tabantha Wheat will drop, but the more land you’re covering, the more likely you are to farm the material, so as long as you’ve got some cold-resistance recipes and your warmest armor equipped, you should be able to get the most out of your time in the mountains.

However, if you don’t want to make the trek through the mountains to get ahold of this valuable ingredient, then there is a slightly easier way to get ahold of the ingredient. Tabantha Wheat can often be found for sale in the General Store in Gerudo Town, but it’ll cost you. It’s much more efficient to farm your own material, but if you’re really caught short then at least there is an option for a quick sale should you desperately need it.
