What You Will Need to Get Shiny Enamorus and Manaphy in Pokemon HOME

Before you get started trying to get shiny Enamorus and shiny Manaphy in Pokemon HOME, make sure you have the following things prepared:

  • Pokemon HOME downloaded on both your Nintendo Switch and your mobile device.
  • Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
  • Either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, Pokemon Shining Pearl, or both.

How to Get Shiny Enamorus and Manaphy in Pokemon HOME

To get shiny Enamorus in Pokemon HOME, you will need a completed Hisui Pokedex in HOME, while you need a completed Sinnoh Pokedex in HOME to get shiny Manaphy. This is different from completing the Pokedex in Pokemon Legends: Arceus or in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If you have already completed your Pokedexes in these games, you may need to do some “backtracking” to complete the corresponding Pokedexes in HOME.

How to Check Your Pokemon HOME Pokedexes and Get Shiny Enamorus and Shiny Manaphy

To check your Pokedex, you need to open the mobile version of Pokemon HOME. Press the menu button in the center of the bottom of the screen, then press “Pokedex” in the innermost circle. This will take you to the National Pokedex by default; press “Games” on the upper left to move to the game specific Pokedexes.

If you already have the Hisui and/or Sinnoh Pokedexes completed, checking them here will automatically unlock the gift shiny Enamorus and/or Manaphy, respectively. If you do not have the Pokedexes completed yet, follow the guides below to complete them, then return here when you’re done to obtain shiny Enamorus and Manaphy.

How to Complete the Hisui Pokedex in Pokemon HOME and Get Shiny Enamorus

Completing the Hisui Pokedex in Pokemon HOME to get a shiny Enamorus is different than completing the Pokemon Legends: Arceus Pokedex. Normally, catching a Pokemon and evolving it logs each Pokemon into the game’s Pokedex. In addition, if you transfer a Pokemon from HOME into the game, it will automatically fill that Pokemon’s page in the Pokedex, no matter what game the Pokemon originally came from.

To get the game’s corresponding Pokedex completed in Pokemon HOME, however, you need to transfer each Pokemon into HOME at each stage of their evolution; transferring a fully evolved Pokemon won’t count any previous evolutions. The Pokemon also have to come from the associated game originally—if you transferred a Pokemon from Sword and Shield to help you complete a game’s Pokedex, it will only count towards the Pokemon Sword and Shield Pokedex when it is transferred back into HOME.

If you want to complete the Hisui Pokedex to get a shiny Enamorus, you need each individual Pokemon in the Pokedex to come from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. If you didn’t transfer each Pokemon from the game as you obtained them, you will have to catch each one again and transfer them as you do. Thankfully, since Legends: Arceus encourages catching multiples of every non-legendary Pokemon, you will be able to find most of the Pokemon you need with just a few laps around the different areas of Hisui. As you do this, make sure to enter any Space-time Distortions that appear, since there are Pokemon that can only appear in them. Also, keep an eye out for Mass Outbreaks and Massive Mass Outbreaks to help guarantee specific Pokemon encounters you may be missing.

How to Complete the Sinnoh Pokedex in Pokemon HOME and Get Shiny Manaphy

To get a shiny Manaphy in Pokemon HOME, you need a completed Sinnoh Pokedex. This includes all Pokemon numbered 1 to 150, but not beyond that. In other words, you do not need to catch any Pokemon listed after Palkia, such as the Mythical Pokemon Darkrai and Arceus, but you do need Dialga and Palkia. This makes completing the Sinnoh Pokedex a bit more taxing compared to completing the Hisui Pokedex because you need all version-exclusive Pokemon in your HOME boxes and they need to originate from either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl.

All Version Exclusive Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex

The following table lists all the version-exclusive Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex. There are more version-exclusive Pokemon than this across Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but they aren’t a part of the Sinnoh Pokedex and as such aren’t needed for getting a shiny Manaphy from Pokemon HOME.

Pokemon Exclusive to Brilliant Diamond Pokemon Exclusive to Shining Pearl
Murkrow Misdreavus
Honchkrow Mismagius
Cranidos Shieldon
Rampardos Bastiodon
Stunky Glameow
Skuntank Purugly
Dialga Palkia
All version exclusive Pokemon in the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Sinnoh Pokedex

If you have both Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you can easily transfer all the version exclusive Pokemon into HOME at your convenience. If you don’t have both games, you will need to obtain the missing Pokemon from somewhere else.

How to Get Version Exclusive Pokemon By Trading

If you are already part of a trusted trading community, or have a friend with the game you don’t have, trading is the easiest way to get the version exclusive Pokemon you are missing. Just trade for the Pokemon you don’t have, making sure they originate from Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, then deposit them into Pokemon HOME. This is the simplest way to get Dialga and Palkia unless you happen to have both Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, in which case you can obtain both legendary Pokemon on your own.

Another, albeit slower, option is to use GTS to look for version exclusive Pokemon you’re missing. In the mobile version of Pokemon HOME, tap “Trade” in the upper left corner of the screen to go to the trading center. Tap “GTS,” then “Search for Pokemon.” Tap “Pokemon wanted,” then type in the name of the Pokemon you want. When you’re done, tap “Search with these conditions.” The Pokemon that are currently available for trade will appear.

Check if any of the Pokemon have a Brilliant Diamond (blue orb) or Shining Pearl (pink orb) icon underneath their picture. This tells you that the Pokemon originated from Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, and will count toward your Sinnoh Pokedex if you trade for it. The GTS will automatically filter out trade offers for Pokemon you don’t have, so you will be able to trade for the Pokemon that appear on this screen unless you select “Include people searching for Pokemon you don’t have” beforehand. If you do, you’ll see more options and can potentially trade for the Pokemon you’re missing and return to get the final Pokemon you want.

Alternatively, you can deposit a Pokemon into GTS yourself to request a particular Pokemon in exchange. However, you won’t be able to specify that you want the exchanged Pokemon to originate from Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. You can list the games you want the Pokemon to be transferrable to, but there can be overlap between games. For example, a Glameow caught in Pokemon GO or Pokemon Legends: Arceus can be transferred to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but won’t count towards the Sinnoh Pokedex. If you’re using the GTS to trade for version exclusive Pokemon, it’s safest to search for the Pokemon you want rather than deposit your own Pokemon, so that you can check what game the Pokemon comes from before comitting to the trade

How to Get Version Exclusive Pokemon Through Egg Breeding

The final option you have for getting version exclusive Pokemon is by getting Eggs through breeding. No matter what game the parent Pokemon is from, the resulting Egg will count as originating from whatever game it was made in. Determine which Pokemon you’re missing in the HOME Sinnoh Pokedex, then transfer those Pokemon into your copy of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If you’ve completed the Hisui Pokedex before tackling the Sinnoh Pokedex, you are guaranteed to have access to the missing version exclusive Pokemon.

Deposit one of the Pokemon along with a Ditto in the Nursery to the left of the Pokemon Center in Solaceon Town and walk around until an Egg is ready. Take the Egg from the Nursery Man, place it in your party, and bike up and down the long path through Solaceon Town, Route 209 to the south, and Route 210 to the north until the Egg hatches. Transfer the Pokemon to HOME, making sure to save your changes. If the Pokemon can evolve, return the Pokemon to your game to evolve it, then return it to HOME to add its entry to your Sinnoh Pokedex. Repeat this step again if necessary, and repeat the entire process with as many Pokemon as you need, until you have each relevant Pokemon logged in HOME as originating from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Is There a Time Limit to Obtain Shiny Enamorus and Manaphy in Pokemon HOME?

No, there is no time limit to obtain shiny Enamorus and Manaphy in Pokemon HOME. As long as Pokemon HOME is up and running, these gift Pokemon will be obtainable, so you can take as much time as you need to complete these Pokedexes.

After you’ve completed your Hisui and Sinnoh Pokedexes, return to your Pokedexes in the mobile version of Pokemon HOME to pick up your shiny Enamorus and Manaphy. Then, you can get started on completing your Galar Pokedexes from Sword and Shield, since they may have a reward of their own next, or you can finish up your Scarlet and Violet Pokedexes to obtain an incredibly rare shiny Meloetta.
