First, the Google Stadia servers will close on January 18, 2023. This means the service will no longer be usable by any means, and everything you have on the platform will cease to exist.

From the official Google blog post FAQ, here is the current known information about hardware returns and refunds.

“Most hardware purchases (Stadia Controller, Founders Edition, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages) made directly from Google will not need to be returned. More details on how to obtain a refund for your Stadia hardware purchases will be posted here in the coming weeks. “

As for refunding games, it’s still unclear how this will work, but the FAQ has a little more information.

” We are working through this process now and will keep this article updated as we define the process for each of the countries and different situations. Our intent is to have the majority of refunds processed back to the original payment by January 18, 2023. “

If you’re looking for your refund, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled as Google intends to release more information soon about how fans can get their money back.
