How to Get More Master Balls in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Alright. You might be pleased to know that you’re going to be given a Master Ball by Professor Magnolia once you’ve gunned through the game. This one is totally a free pass, and everyone will get it – you just have to be in your home after the credits roll. You’re probably going to want to use this on one of the Legendaries like Zacian or Zamazenta, but on the off chance that you totally miff this and you use it on a random Eevee or something, it’s not the absolute last chance for you to get one.

You can get more Master Balls in Pokemon Sword and Shield by playing the Loto-ID. This can be done in basically any Pokemon Centre, and the gist of it is that it functions like an actual lottery would in real life. To win big (in this case, a Master Ball), you have to make sure that your Loto-ID guess matches all the numbers in the winning Loto-ID randomized by the game. There are five numbers in each Loto-ID, so it’s not the easiest thing to do, but if you get them all right then you’ll be the proud owner of yet another Master Ball.

If you don’t fancy yourself that lucky, though, you can artificially boost your chances with the Loto-ID, well, lottery by engaging in more Surprise Trades. Bonding with Trainers that you don’t know will give you better odds, so that’s another thing that you can do if you’re coming up short.
