How to Get Melmetal in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Meltan is a Pokemon that’s fairly easy to acquire if you’re someone who’s an ardent Pokemon GO player. If you’ve been playing Pokemon GO and you have a Meltan, you might already be aware that turning it into a Melmetal is quite the investment of Candies. We’re talking 400 here, which is definitely no number to sneeze at. However, once you have acquired a Melmetal by going on walks around the local suburb, the question of how to get it in Sword and Shield remains. Unfortunately, you’re not able to push it right through to the Galar generation of games. The steps you’re going to need to take are as follows:

  • Transfer Melmetal from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Let’s Go
  • Transfer Melmetal from Pokemon Let’s Go to Pokemon Home
  • Transfer Melmetal from Pokemon Home to Pokemon Sword and Shield
