How to Get High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld

More strange fluids coming from strange creatures...

Many structures in Palworld require gathering tons of exotic items around the island such as the High Quality Pal Oil. This one can be quite complicated to find during the early portions of the game, but sooner or later you’ll have to go after it

Where to Find High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld

High Quality Pal Oil is a regular drop from Mammorest, the huge green mammoth Pal you’ve probably seen around the initial areas a couple of times. They’re usually found around Levels 35, making it quite a challenge for newer players who just want a few jars of oil to upgrade their base to further levels.

Mammorests roam around Bamboo Groves, usually around forests and similar environments. Go for the Ravine Entrance Fast Travel point in -69, -427 and head straight up to find a few of them easily. Just be sure to be well-equipped as these Pals are no joke in battle and can easily knock you out, especially if under-leveled.

Despite their higher level, they can also be seen around the starter areas like the Windswept Hills, next to the Grassy Behemoth Hills teleport. There’s even a Level 38 Mammorest Boss in 187, -478, around here. Regular Mammorest usually spawns around here too.

They’re weak to Fire and even early Pals like Foxparks and Rooby can be used against them if you trained them for long enough. I used Foxparks’s Flamethrower skill (unlocked by crafting its Foxsparks’s Harness before heading into battle) as it is effective against a regular Mammorest. A good strategy to defeat it at earlier levels is by dodging its attacks and waiting for the Flamethrower to recharge until it is defeated.

Fortunately, it usually drops a good number of Oils once you defeat it, so you won’t need to hunt them for too long. Just a few might be enough, especially if you targeted the Boss version. It’s way easier if you’re playing on a multiplayer server, so gather your pals to bring that huge Pal down!
