How to Get Heart Trim Furfrou in Pokemon GO

Hello Kitty meets Kuromi vibes

Look, I’ll say what we all know is true. Furfrou is one of the most fun Pokemon in the game. One, the name is fantastic. Furfrou? Like froufrou? Give that guy who thought of that a raise. But it’s also a Pokemon that has ample versatility, at least in terms of style. And while I’m personally obsessed with the vaguely cyberpunk aesthetic of the Kabuki Furfrou and the Sugar-Pop-Hatsune-Miku vibes of Star, there’s one Furfrous that’s taken center stage for Pokemon GO: Heart Furfrou. Here’s how to get Heart Trim Furfrou in Pokemon GO.

Furfrou might not be appearing in any Raids or PvP matches, but you can’t say it doesn’t have style. Unfortunately, many of its best trims are region-locked, including the aforementioned Star and Kabuki form. If only I had a Furfrou when I was living in Korea. But there are other trims that require something different:

An exclusive event.

Like, you know. A Valentine’s Day Event? For as long as the Valentine’s Day GO Event is on, which will extend from February 7 to February 14, 10:00 PM, you’ll have the option to give your Furfrou a distinctly romantic furcut. To do so, head into its profile.

You’ll see the option “Change Form”.

Click it, and you’ll see all the available forms you can currently trim it into. If you do so during the event, that will include Heart Trim Furfrou. But this haircut comes at a cost. You’ll need the following:

  • 25 Furfrou Candy
  • 10,000 Stardust

And, yes, Furfrou can be shiny in Pokemon GO! And it’s Shiny Heart Trim form? Is Kuromi-level cute. I’ve struggled to find a Shiny one, as there’s only a 1 in 500 chance of stumbling across one, but maybe you’ll have more luck!
