How to Get Harvester Orbs in MW3 Zombies

These mysterious orbs must be destroyed.

Harvester Orbs are giant purple anomalies that float around the map of Urzikstan in the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. These flying orbs can be beneficial to players who are low on money, but they will have to work for it.

How to Find Harvester Orbs in MW3 Zombies

Harvester Orbs can be found at various points of the map, but can be random depending on the game. Showing up in a specific spot one game will not necessarily mean it will be in the next game. They are also not listed on the overworld map, but will appear in the map when players get near one.

However, there are a few places that these orbs could be show up with some guarantee. The map above shows just a few of the spots where it can appear.

It seems to hang around more open spaces than the cities, and can show up in the higher danger zones. It is much safer to tackle the orbs in the low threat areas, since zombies will still chase you.

How to Destroy Harvester Orbs in MW3 Zombies

The Harvester Orbs can be destroyed by constantly shooting at it. Although, the orb will attempt to fly away each time it is shot. Players will have to continually chase it to damage it, and can disappear if players wait too long.

The orb will drop a small amount of Essence each time it is shot, and will drop a large amount when it is destroyed. Players will know the Harvester Orb is close to defeat because it will stop, and will not fly away when shot. Lay into it to completely destroy it.
