You can get Gold Bullion in Fallout 76 in a few ways, including purchasing it from Smiley at The Wayward or trading Treasury Notes that you earn through public events and daily quests via the Gold Press Machines. You can find Gold Press Machines at Crater, The Whitespring Resort, and Foundation.

But if you want guaranteed Gold Bullion, visit The Wayward to speak with Smiley. He’ll sell you Gold Bullion for a max of 300 per week in exchange for caps. His rates include:

  • 1000 Caps for 50 Gold Bullion.

Most items and plans range in price between 50 to 500+ Gold Bullion. It’s also important to note that each player can only hold 10,000 Gold Bullion. After that, you won’t earn any more.

What Quests Give Gold Bullion in Fallout 76?

The only surefire quest in the game that provides Gold Bullion as a reward is ‘Secrets Revealed,’ which is an end-game quest that involves helping the last remnants of the United States Secret Service retake Vault 79. In helping the small crew of agents, you’ll unlock Gold Bullion, a unique vendor, and earn a sizable reward from either Crater or Foundation, depending on who you help.

What is Gold Bullion For in Fallout 76?

You will use Gold Bullion to purchase rare crafting plans from the likes of Minerva, Mortimer, Samuel, or Regs. These vendors are scattered about Appalachia in Crater, Foundation, Vault 79, Fort Atlas, or The Whitespring Resort. It’s best to check each location and vendor to find suitable plans for your playstyle and build.

Furthermore, know that Minerva moves around every week. She hangs out around each major settlement for a set number of days, then moves on. Her inventory also rotates.

One such crafting plan you can buy using Gold Bullion is the Super Reactor, which holds enough power to run all of your lights and electronics at C.A.M.P.
