Elden Ring, developed by From Software, is packed to the brim with different weapons, spells, and armor for players to craft their perfect build with. Not every item’s use is immediately apparent, but with the right amount of time players have been able to make some truly game-breaking combinations. Here is how to get and use the Law of Regression in Elden Ring.

What is the Law of Regression

The Law of Regression is an Incantation that dispels most Sorcery and Incantation effects. It can dispel illusory walls and status effects.

Where to Get

Obtaining the Law of Regression in Elden Ring is actually quite simple. All you need to do is purchase it from Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows. You’ll need to give them the Golden Order Principia prayerbook in order to unlock the spell for purchase.

The Golden Order Principia can be located in a chair hanging from the ceiling above the Erdtree Sanctuary in the Royal Capital of Leyndell.

Then just give the prayerbook to one of your two Incantation vendors and purchase the Law of Regression.

How to Use

In order to use the Law of Regression, your character will need 37 intelligence and at least 55 FP. It requires 50 stamina to use the Incantation.

You’ll need a weapon seal in order to cast the Law of Regression, any of the seals you have will do.

If you don’t have enough Intelligence to use the Law of Regression you can equip some armor that will help raise it. For instance, the Twinsage Glintstone Crow found in Raya Lucaria will increase your INT by +6, and Marika’s Soreseal weapon will increase it by +5.

This is an easy way to gain some extra intelligence.
