On the shores of Dazzle Beach, there’s a rather creepy-looking boat that looks like it hasn’t sailed the seas in quite some time. Disney Dreamlight Valley is all about making friends, and making them happy, and one of the ways to accomplish that is by inviting them to your island and building a suitable home for them. You guessed it – a familiar and feathered friend wants to move in and, though he’s difficult to understand, we’ll break down exactly how you can get and use the Boat House in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley – A House Fit for a Duck Quest
A House Fit for a Duck is a quest given by none other than Donald Duck, and he’d like his house to be rebuilt with a little help from you and his Uncle Scrooge.
First, speak to Donald and let him quack his woes at you about his broken down boat house. He’ll ask you to speak to his Uncle for some help.
Talk to Scrooge McDuck in his store, and choose the A House Fit for a Duck option. Scrooge will hand over the blueprint with a list of materials needed to get the job done.
To repair Donald’s boat house, you’ll need:
- 16 Softwood – available in most zones
- 8 Hardwood – available in later zones (Forgotten Lands, Sunlit Plateau, Glade of Trust)
- 2 Iron Ingots – crafted with 5 Iron Ore and 1 Coal
- 4 Rope – crafted with 8 Fiber
Gather the necessary materials and head to a Crafting Station to create the Boat Repair Kit.
Take the Boat Repair Kit to Donald, who’s waiting for you inside the broken boat house. Then, interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign outside to begin construction at no cost!

The quest continues with Donald asking you to help him clean up the place. Head inside and pick up all the glowing items you see on the floor:
- (2) Donald’s Awards
- (2) Jugs
- (1) Donald’s Book
- (1) Mysterious Junk
Hand the items over to Donald and he’ll give you a Rusty Time Capsule. Open it up to receive a new fragment of memory. Speak to Donald once more, and the quest concludes!
