How to Get and Use Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage

Put your faith in a complete stranger

The Somniel is a beautiful floating island, full with an eclectic and honestly ridiculous amount of facilities, from a farmyard to the pool. But if you’ve wandered far South, you might have noticed a lonely tower called the Tower of Trials. This Tower is only accessible with a Relay Ticket, but how do you get and use Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage?

How to Get and Use Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage

Fortunately, if you’ve played through the early chapters of Fire Emblem Engage, you’ve likely received your first Relay Ticket. The notification that you’ve obtained this Ticket occurs when you’re on Somniel Island, and once you have it means that the Tower of Trials is unlocked.

Head to the Tower of Trials either by walking (not recommended) or fast traveling using your map. Once there, enter the Tower and you’ll find there are three activities you can try your hand at: Tempest Trial, Relay Trial, and Outrealm Trial.

But only one of these requires a Relay Ticket! And that’s the aptly named Relay Trial.

The Relay Trial allows you to work with other players online in a relay-style cooperative mode. The goal of a Relay Trial is to clear a map while taking turns with another player, much like a Relay race.

To use the Relay Ticket, select Relay Trial, then select “New Battle” to spend a ticket and start the Trial. Or, you can choose to Take Over for a person has left a Trial mid-way, allowing you to complete it without spending a Relay Ticket.

If you’ve chosen to start a Relay Trial (and used a ticket in doing so) you’ll complete a certain number of turns and then you’ll “hand it off” to the next player. You have the option of making that hand off public or private. After you’ve handed it off, leave the Tower of Trials and return at a later time. You can see if you’ve won or lost by checking “View Results”. No matter whether you win or lose, you’ll get prizes, though victory grants better loot. The assortment of rewards you receive can range from Crystals used in enhancing your weapons, to tonics, recipe items, and even gifts you can give your units.

How to Get Relay Tickets in Fire Emblem Engage

As for how you get Relay Tickets, it seems there’s only one way. These tickets are distributed once every 24 hours, and can be claimed by entering the Somniel. You don’t have to do anything special to claim it – it will simply show up in your inventory. So far, we haven’t found any other way to obtain more.

If it’s been 24 hours and you haven’t received your Relay Ticket, return to the Tower of Trials. From there, interact with the Relay Races again. When you leave, you should receive the ticket.
