The Megaphone can be purchased from Nook’s Cranny in ANCH for 3,500 Bells. You can find it in the green cabinet located near the right end of the store on the first page of items. It’s next to goods like the Wet Suit, Fishing Rods, and Nets, which are items that are always available to buy, as is the Megaphone.
This item is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, which means you cannot find or buy it unless you’re playing on this specific system. The entire functionality of it requires a microphone, which is likely why it’s not available for classic Nintendo Switch players.
If you have the Switch 2 but don’t see this item in your shop, you may need to wait a day for it to be added, or consider time-traveling to get it to appear sooner. You also may need to have the upgraded version of the store.

The Megaphone can be used to call out villager names, thus allowing you to have a much easier time finding them around the island. You can speak a name into the microphone, and if the villager you’re calling for is out and about, they’ll shout back, letting you know where to find them.

To use the Megaphone, you need to have it equipped, then speak a villager’s name into the microphone. If they’re around, a bubble with a response from them will appear somewhere on the screen, guiding you in the right direction so you can head toward it and track them down with ease.
If they’re in their house when you call for them, the Megaphone won’t generate a reply, so be sure to always start by checking their home first. You also might try moving around the island a few times, calling their name along the way, to make sure you don’t miss them if they do pop up outside.
