How to Get Seikret in Monster Hunter Wilds

While Monster Hunter Wilds players will start out with a Seikret from the beginning, the creature is not theirs to own just yet. Some of the early quests will even have players running around without a mount at all.

You will get full access to a Seikret after fighting the Quematrice in the Village of Whispering Winds quest. Y’sai will give you the mount to use whenever you want after slaying the beast and returning to Base Camp.

Seikret is one of the most useful tools in the game as the environments are too large to traverse on foot and some shortcuts require Seikret to use. The mount is also very handy during battles, since players can heal themselves and sharpen weapons while riding, instead of finding a spot to hide to avoid any potential attacks.

How to Customize Seikret in Monster Hunter Wilds

Seikret can be customized later on in the questline and is done by visiting the player’s tent at Base Camp. It can also be done at pop-up camps.

Go to the Appearance Menu tab and select Edit Seikret Decorations from the tent’s menu. Players will then be able to change the Seikret’s decorations, pendant, and even choose to name it.

The decorations change up the saddle and reins for Seikret, while the pendant is often a clothing item or trinket tied to the side of the saddle. You can also give your Seikret a different name, but know that other players in the lobby will be able to see it too.
