How to Get and Breed Jormuntide Ignis in Palworld

How to Catch Jormuntide Ignis in Palworld

To catch Jormuntide Ignis in the wild, you’ll need to go all the way to Nature Preserve No. 3. This Nature Preserve is an island protected by mercenaries to the far west on the map, just north of Mount Obsidian. They won’t stop you from entering the island, but I recommend you avoid fighting them, as they’ll come in endless waves until the last witness is killed.

As you might expect, the Pals here are strong, coming in at level 40 and above. Jormunitide Ignis isn’t a particularly common spawn either, so you’ll likely be grinding for a while. You’re more likely to find two dozen Incineram Nocts before you ever stumble across a Jormuntide Ignis.

How to Breed Jormuntide Ignis in Palworld

Breeding Jormuntide Ignis, unfortunately, isn’t as easy as breeding most other Pals. It’s a Pal that you can only intentionally breed by pairing a Jormuntide Ignis and a Jormuntide Ignis together. This is very similar to the hyper-rare Legendary Pals like Frostallion, Jetragon, Necromus, Paladius, and also Chikipi for some reason.

Alternatively, you can forgo breeding Jormuntide Ignis and simply hatch one from a Huge Scorching Egg found in the wilds. Jormuntide Ignis has a chance of hatching from any Huge Scorching Egg that you pick up off the ground.

Fortunately, Mount Obsidian is a great place to hunt for Scorching Eggs. Find a Pal you can fly on, like Suzaku or Frostallion, and you can scope out the mountain for the pretty obvious red eggs marked by a flame pattern. In one in-game day, you can have an entire bag full of eggs. Then, keep hatching those Huge Eggs, using an Egg Incubator, until you hatch Jormuntide Ignis.

Once you have two Jormuntide Ignis, you can breed more by setting up a Breeding Farm on your base. This can be unlocked at level 19. Once a Breeding Farm is on your base, you can assign a male and female Jormuntide Ignis (they must be opposite genders) to the farm by manually picking them and throwing them into the pen. You’ll then need to throw some cake into the Breeding Farm box to convince them to start breeding.

How to Get a Jormuntide Ignis Egg in Palworld

As mentioned above, if you want to obtain a Jormuntide Ignis from an egg via breeding in Palworld, you can only do so by breeding two Jormuntide Ignis’ of opposite genders together. This is the only breeding combination available for obtaining a Jormuntide Ignis at the moment. It’s important to note that Jormuntide Ignis is a rare and highly sought-after creature in Palworld, and obtaining one can be a challenging but rewarding task.

Otherwise, you can potentially hatch Jormuntide Ignis from Huge Scorching Eggs found all over Mount Obsidian. Just keep your eyes peeled for large red eggs with yellow flame patterns on the base of the eggs. Mount Obsidian is located to the far west on the map, and if you fly around above the mountain, you should be able to spot the vibrant eggs from a fair distance away. Just be sure you have gear with heat resistance equipped before making the trek, or you won’t get very far.

Jormuntide Ignis Stats

It’s well worth having at least one Jormuntide Ignis in your base, as it has a base level of 4 in Kindling, making it one of the best Kindlers in the game. That being said, Jormuntide Ignis is huge. So, the likelihood of it getting stuck on something in your base is pretty high.

Otherwise, Jormuntide Ignis has the following traits:

  • Type: Fire / Dragon.
  • Work Suitability: Kindling Level 4.
  • Partner Skill: Stormbringer Lava Dragon — Increases the Fire damage dealt by the player and Jormuntide Ignis while mounted. Enables Jormuntide Ignis to be mounted.

While Jormuntide Ignis is the best Kindler in the game, and you should absolutely use at least one back on your base for smelting Ingots, it also makes for a pretty fun mount that deals increased Fire damage. To make a Jormuntide Ignis Saddle, you’ll need the following materials:

  • Leather x36.
  • Fiber x60.
  • Flame Organ x24.
  • Ingot x60.
  • Paldium Fragment x48.
