Fixing the Zenless Zone Zero Grey Screen Issue

To fix the Zenless Zone Zero grey screen issue, you need to install the Media Feature Pack if you’re using an N edition Windows.

The Media Feature Pack is required to play a variety of video files, especially in games. Since N editions of Windows don’t come with the Media Feature Pack, you need to install it manually.

There are two ways to install the Media Feature Pack on Windows.

Install the Pack in Windows

You can directly download the pack through Windows.

  • In Windows search, type “Manage optional features” and open it
  • Press on the “Add a feature” button
  • Search for “Media Feature Pack”
  • Install it and restart your PC

This will automatically download and install the media pack required by Zenless Zone Zero.

Download the Pack and Install It

If you can’t see the media pack in the search, you can download it directly from Microsft’s website. Simply select the current Windows version and download the pack. Install the pack, and restart your PC.

After you’re done, launch Zenless Zone Zero again. It should work normally now without any grey/gray screen. If that didn’t work, try the following troubleshooting recommendations:
