Most Zombies modes in Call of Duty games require players to turn on the power in the level to have other features function. This guide will show players whether or not they need to find the power in the Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
How to Find the Power in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies
The simple answer is that there is no need to find the power in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, since there are no generators on the map or any switches that need to turn on. The new mode is much different than past iterations.
Zombies modes in previous Call of Duty games featured linear maps that were often segmented off until players purchased their way beyond the locked doors or through another method. Some of these maps had power switches that were necessary for the Pack-a-Punch machine and other utilities to work.
Power switches and generators do not appear in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, as they are unnecessary. Instead of several smaller maps, the mode features the open world of Urzikstan with cities, fields, and bodies of water.
The map can be freely explored with all buildings unlocked, except for a few key doors. However, the few that are locked require special methods to open. There are no power switches to find.
Pack-a-Punch machines are also located around the map and are already powered on. Players only need to spend between 5,000 to 15,000 Essence in order to use the Pack-a-Punch, depending on the power level of the weapon.
