When it comes to archetypes, you can never have too many. But if you’re thinking of dabbling in concoctions, you’ll need to dedicate quite a bit of your time. Or at least hope Lady Luck smiles fondly upon you. Here’s how to find the Mysterious Stone in Remnant 2.

How to Find the Mysterious Stone in Remnant 2

So much of Remnant 2 seems to boil down to RNG because certain aspects of the game are procedurally generated. And that’s likely the case for the Mysterious Stone, which can only be obtained through the elusive Manticora in the Drain event. But you can make triggering this event a little easier.

Here’s how to get it.

First, you’ll need to unlock the area Losomn. Next, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled for large sewer drains in all areas of Losomn. I found mine near Hewdas Clock, but it’s very likely yours will be some place completely different.

Stand too close to a particular drain, and there’s a chance that you’ll be dragged through. That’s right, there’s something in the sewers, and that something is a Manticora. A beast made recognizable by its white fur, monkey-like body, and bat-like face.

You’ll awaken in a pile of bones in a separate area on the map. Go a little forward and you’ll encounter your kidnapper. And it really, really wants to kill you.

And then you’ll be prompted to kill it. I found that it was no more difficult than a normal Special enemy. Once you’ve lowered its health, it will scamper away into a nearby drain. But don’t worry, it’ll be back to attack you.

Once it’s dead, it will drop the Mysterious Stone, which you can turn in to Wallace in Ward 13 to unlock the Alchemist class. However, supposedly, there’s also a body here. This body has the Academic Set. I can’t tell you for certain because my game crashed and once you leave, you can’t return. So, be sure to check the entire area thoroughly.
