How to Find Razor Claw in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Kind of weird that Sneasel needs to hold a fake hand to evolve

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is a world equally full of Pokemon as it is items. Scattered across fields, rivers, and snowy mountain cliffs are glittering treasures. Pick one up and you might find yourself in possession of a Rare Bone (Whose bone? Who knows!), Rare Candies, or even Evolution Stones.

But it’s possible that one item has remained stubbornly missing from your inventory – the Razor Claw!

The Razor Claw is a hold item that provides many functions. For those who prefer to battle, it’s likely that you want this claw in your possession because it increases the holding Pokemon’s critical-hit ratio. Trainers who enjoy Pokemon Unite will know just how powerful it can be.

But if you happen to be trying to complete your Pokedex (no easy feat in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, where there are over 400 Pokemon to obtain), a Razor Claw might be a necessity! It’s the only way to hand evolve Sneasel into Weavile.

If you’re like me, you’ve traveled nearly every corner of Paldea, from its depths to its heights, and still haven’t found a Razor Claw in a Pokeball on the ground. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean that Razor Claw isn’t in the game. It’s just being hoarded by Paldea’s hyper-capitalistic Christmas bird Pokemon!

How to find Razor Claw in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

While I say it’s being hoarded, that isn’t technically true. There are two ways to obtain a Razor Claw.

The first is to go to Porto Marinada and visit the market there. It’s possible that one of the 4 vendors will have it for sale, and that you can bid to add the Razor Claw to your collection. But the likelihood of getting a Razor Claw here is just as high as actually getting a Mass Outbreak that you want.

The far more reliable option is to visit the Delibirds in Delibird Presents. These entrepreneurial Pokemon sell not only Rotom Cases but Evolution Items and Hold Items. But the wares can vary from store to store. For that reason, it’s important that you visit the correct one – the one in Mesagoza.

There, the Razor Claw will be for sale for 15,000 Pokedollars. But only if you have at least 4 gym badges! Any less and the Delibirds will deem you too weak to wield it.

Good luck getting that claw, trainer!
