How To Exploit Silver Chimera’s Weakness in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Fiend Intel 6: Unholy Union)

How To Exploit Silver Chimera’s Weakness in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Fiend Intel 6: Unholy Union)

Once you activate the Ravine Tower in Final Fantasy 7, you’ll get a call from Chadley letting you know that a new monster has appeared in the barren wastes of the Corel region. This monster is the Silver Chimera, and to gain all 10 Party Exp you’ll need to hit the three objectives:

  • Exploit an enemy’s weakness
  • Stagger an enemy
  • Defeat all enemies within the time limit

It’s a straightforward request, but Chimera’s high HP and powerful attacks make it hard to accomplish. But to exploit Silver Chimera’s weakness in Final Fantasy 7, you need to wait until the Silver Chimera uses its Aquatic Blast ability. Once it does, it will automatically become pressured. You can then take it over the edge by exploiting its weakness to Fire.

You can further exploit the Silver Chimera’s weakness by using Cloud’s Punisher Mode to block the Silver Chimera’s standard attacks to block the mystical creature’s attack and retaliate. Doing so will increase the Silver Chimera’s stagger bar, an option if you don’t want to wait until the beast uses its Aquatic Blast.

Important to note is that Cloud’s Punisher Mode doesn’t block magical attacks, so be wary of the red bar that appears over the Silver Chimera’s head. Its’ possible magic attacks are:

  • Viper Sting (which can poison you)
  • Salamander Belch (A fire attack)
  • Aquatic Beam (An ice attack)

Once you’ve exploited the Silver Chimera’s weakness, you can simply spam Fire Materia attacks until its dead.

And while you’re here, it’s a great idea to knock out the sprawling side quest, the Saga of the Seaside Inn, which will require you to clear the Heavy Lies the Crown fiend intel. Or you can tackle the Heliopora nearby.
