How to Evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

I tinka thissa gonna hurt.

Tinkaton is a dual-type Fairy/Steel Pokemon newly introduced in Gen 9 of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Though she may look stupidly cute, with her giant floppy ears and mostly pink and white appearance, you’d be wise not to underestimate her brute strength. Tinkaton wields an enormous hammer made of scrap metal, weighing in at over 200 pounds, that she uses to fling rocks into the sky to knock out flying Corviknights. Sheesh, can’t they just be friends? Tinkatons are also known to be quite intelligent, often stealing whatever belongings they want and hiding them in their dwellings. Wanna train one of your own? Here’s how to evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Luckily, evolving Tinkatuff into Tinkaton is a straightforward process and won’t involve any silly hoops to jump through. Like the majority of Pokemon evolutions, you’ll just need to level your Tinkatuff a bit to reach the final stage.

Tinkatuff will naturally evolve into Tinkaton once she reaches level 38, and while that may seem like a pretty high number, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offers plenty of ways to speed up the leveling process.

Of course, there are normal battles in the wild, which you can speed up by using the Let’s Go auto-battling mechanic. There’s also Gym Battles, which will have you battling against multiple Pokemon, yielding even more experience for your roster. But the easiest method is by just feeding your Tinkatuff XP Candies, which are found scattered around the Paldea region and rewarded after successfully completing Tera Raid battles.

Before you know it, your Tinkatuff will grow up into a mighty Tinkaton, ready to smash anything in her path.
