First, you need to start a picnic by opening up your main menu and selecting the “Picnic” option, allowing you to begin the glorious feast.

Now walk up to the table, click A, and select the “Make a Sandwich” option. You’ll now be ready to create the lunch of your dreams.

It will prompt you to pick one of the available recipes, but if you hit the “X” button, you will switch to creative mode instead. This will allow you to pick six different food items and four condiments to arrange how you see fit. You can even choose what toothpick you want to top the sandwich off.
