How to Earn Ancestor’s Favor Reputation in Diablo 4

Grinding through all the Lunar Awakening event tiers in Diablo 4 means earning Ancestor’s Favor Reputation for your character. Thankfully, earning the favor is incredibly fast in this event and I’ll go over how it’s collected in Sanctuary.

How to Get Ancestor’s Favor in Diablo 4 Lunar Awakening

Ancestor’s Favor is earned by activating Lunar Shrines and killing monsters while the shrine buff is active. Without using the new event shrines, there is no way to earn more favor for the reputation board, so seeking them out is the focal point of the awakening. It sounds tedious but it can be done incredibly quickly.

Simply activating a Lunar Shrine will passively give you points of favor for the duration. I watched my character after I wiped out the full group of monsters near me and I could still see Ancestor’s Favor numbers stacking up on my screen. Getting kills isn’t required in this case, but it will certainly speed up the process.

Dungeons and Nightmare Dungeons with the Ancestor’s Favor Affix specifically are fantastic ways to increase your reputation. That affix will guarantee that a dungeon will be filled with Lunar Shrines. With just a few of these sigils, you can easily finish the full event board and claim all the rewards that go along.

Where to Find Lunar Shrines in Diablo 4

You can find the Lunar Shrines in world events, Nightmare Dungeons, or by looking for Grim Favors marked by purple stars on the map. Each one of these methods will lead to the shrines, so there is no shortage of ways to complete the event board.

However, simply doing the Grim Favors is by far the easiest for the majority of players in Season 3. If you are in World Tier 3 or World Tier 4, I recommend unlocking a couple of spoils on the Lunar Awakening board and completing the Ancestor’s Favor Affix sigil instead.
