All Pre-Order Rewards for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition

If there’s one thing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players love, it’s the joy of wracking up kills. But if there’s ever been icing on the cake, it’s the ability to utterly demolish and humiliate your opponent with a finisher.

The basic mechanic for actually executing a finishing move in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is fairly simple: Approach your target from behind, and when you’re close enough to them, hold down your melee button. For PC, the melee key is ‘V’ or mouse button 4, assuming you’re using the default key binds. But if you’re using console or controller, you’ll need to hold down the right analogue stick, or R3. Doing so will throw your enemy into a cutscene they can’t fight back against, and put an end to their shenanigans in a stylish and humiliating way. If you swipe at the air (with a grunt loud enough to surely alert your potential target), you weren’t close enough.

That being said, actually getting close enough to an enemy can be the real issue. One of the best methods for closing the gap is to wait until level 51 to get Dead Silence (or… just pick a default class that already has it equipped) and ensure that you go for these finishing kills early on. Many new players will be running High Alert, which will cause their vision to pulse when they’re in enemy sights. So, the earlier you go for the kill, the better.

Select a game mode that will have people stationary, like Domination and Hardline, and check the windows and sightlines that people love to camp in these modes. They’ll be so busy staring at points or the usual doorways that they shouldn’t hear you running up behind them, assuming you have Dead Silence. Assuming you do this correctly, not only will you have the satisfaction of watching your Operator decimate, you’ll be able to unlock the operator König as well.
