At the start of the boss fight, after a cutscene, Del Lago will rapidly pull Leon’s boat around the lake, occasionally diving under the water. Use your infinite harpoons to continuously damage the creature.

Be wary, as Del Lago can turn around quickly, and jump back towards the boat, which must be evaded to the left or right side (depending which direction the monster is coming from). Failure to avoid Del Lago will cause damage to the boat.

After towing Leon’s boat around the lake, Del Lago will go under the water, and attempt a direct attack. Make sure to keep 360 degree view around the boat and listen to determine where the beast is attacking from. The monster will charge with its mouth agape, so make sure to hit its toothy grin with a harpoon before Del Lago turns Leon into chicken of the lake.

After defending against Del Lago’s onslaught, the monster will proceed to yank Leon’s boat into oncoming lake debris. Continue to sling harpoons into the monster, while evading the oncoming hazards that can take a toll on the USS Leon. Make sure to also dodge Del Lago’s aforementioned quick turnaround and sneak attacks.

Once its health has been completely depleted, the terror from the lake will be no more, crashing into the water, which will conclude the third chapter of the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
