Monster Hunter Wilds players have two places where they can cook meals: at the player’s Base Camp tent or the BBQ Grill essential item. There is no difference to using either option, but the BBQ Grill item is portable and can be used out in the wild to quickly cook something up mid-fight.

In either choice, choose the Grill a Meal option. You can then pick between Recommended Meal or Custom Meal, but choosing the latter will allow you to pick what ingredients get put into the meal.

Creating a full meal can require a Ration, Additional Ingredients, and Finishing Touches, though only the Ration is needed to create a basic meal. The other two options give additional bonuses besides giving more health and stamina. All bonuses and the duration of the meal will be listed as you add more ingredients.
