How to Complete the Ren-iz Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

She shoots, she scores!

The Ren-iz Shrine can be hard to find and even harder to complete. Which is why we’re here together. Let’s kick this shrine’s nonexistent butt. Here’s how to complete the Ren-iz Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

So, I’d be awfully negligent to not tell you how to get to this shrine in the first place. The vast majority of Shrines you can see as you wander around, thanks to their fluorescent green spiral plumes. But Ren-iz? It’s tucked away out of sight.

How to Find the Ren-Iz Shrine in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

To find Ren-Iz, you can go to these precise coordinates: 0758, 0844, 011. Or you can head to the very top of Crenel Hills. There, you’ll see two ponds on the map. Just to the north of the eastmost pond is a giant hollowed out tree trunk. Within this tree trunk is the shrine!

Of course, there are plenty of enemies on Crenel Hills as well, so be aware of your surroundings.

Now, let’s get into the puzzling.

Puzzle 1

Ren-Iz is the “jump the gaps” shrine. And our first puzzle encapsulates that perfectly.

Use Ultrahand to grab the metal plate on the floor. Lift it and place it on the ramp, so that one end is on the white grate and the other end is pointed towards the “basket” on the far right.

When yours looks like mine, hit the glowing pillar.

Smack it to make ball drop.

Once you hit the pillar, a ball will roll down the ramp and use the metal plate to, hopefully, land in the central hole in the basket. If it does, the door will open.

How to Get the Hidden Treasure in Ren-iz Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

It’s TotK, so of course there’s a hidden treasure! Walk into the second room and on your right you’ll see a platform with a chest. Don’t try to fly over to it. I did it so you don’t have to – you’ll definitely die.

Instead, note the sort black plate here. We’ll need to grab the plate we used in the first room, then attach it to this short plate to make a bridge to reach treasure island.

Once you have your bridge made, put it over the gap and claim your treasure. It’s a Strong Zonaite Shield. Like, really strong (26). And it’s cool looking!

Puzzle 2

The goal of this puzzle is precisely the same as puzzle 1. We want to hit the glowy column and have the ball that it produces land in the basket across the gap.

The problem? There’s no wall to balance the ramp on. Here’s what you need to do.

Use Ultrahand to lift the long plate in the sunken recess and balance it on the column. Then, lift the smaller plate and attach it to the end, so it creates a ramp.

Use Ultrahand to put this ramp in the recessed area. Hit the glowy column.

I think you have a lot of room for error with this ramp, but you may have to make some adjustments as you go.

Once the ball is in the hoop, the next door will open. And… that’s it! Yeah! I guess the second puzzle was hard enough they figured you shouldn’t have to do a third.
