Once you have completed Mission 10: The Lordless Island, a new request will become available on the blackboard in Professor Laventon’s laboratory in the Galaxy Building. “The Sea’s Legend” – AKA Quest 66 – is quite the lengthy one, but the reward is definitely worth it.

With the request accepted, speak to the Professor. He’ll tell you that a “princely” Pokemon has been known to live in the Cobalt Coastlands and asks you to unravel the mystery.

The solution to the quest has a neat tie-in to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, where in the Canalave Library, there’s a book that reads, “Mantyke, Buizel, and a Qwilfish with huge spikes acknowledged the human’s bravery and joined them.” You will need the three Pokemon mentioned here.

Head to Tranquility Cove in the Cobalt Coastlands to find an abundance of Mantyke swimming around. For Buizel, warp to the Fieldlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands where you’ll spot them roaming around by the water. Lastly, the “Qwilfish with huge spikes” is referencing Overqwil, a new ‘mon only found in the Hisui region.

How to Evolve Qwilfish into Overqwil in Pokemon Legends Arceus

To get Overqwil in Pokemon Legends Arceus, you need to catch a Qwilfish and evolve it, though it’s not just a case of leveling it up: it requires a special technique. Your Qwilfish (you can catch one at Tranquility Cove in the Cobalt Coastlands) needs to use the Barb Barrage move in Strong Style 20 times.

The easiest way of doing this is to go back to the starting area in Obsidian Fieldlands and take out low-level foes here with the attack. Don’t forget it needs to be Strong Style! Once Qwilfish runs out of PP, you can rest at the camp to reset it. After using the move 20 times, it will be ready to evolve.

How to Get Manaphy in Pokemon Legends Arceus

With all three Pokemon secured, travel to the Coastlands Camp in the Cobalt Coastlands. Here, speak to the Galaxy Expedition Member to change the time of day to midday. Then make your way towards the two giant pincers coming out of the ocean, making sure the ‘mon are in the first three slots of your Party.

Ride on Basculegion’s back through the archway. If done correctly, a text box will pop up that reads, “You heard something that sounded like a cry and a boulder shifting the distance.” A new cave has opened up.

To find the cave, head southwest from Seagrass Haven on the north side of Veilstone Cape and look along the rock wall where you’ll spot the entrance. Head inside and you’ll be greeted with a level 50 Manaphy and three Phione. You won’t be able to throw a Poke Ball and be done with it – you need to battle and weaken them first before you try and catch them.

Once it’s caught, return to Professor Laventon to complete Quest 66 and receive three Comet Shards as a reward.
