Why waste hours of your life when you can find the Pal you want in seconds? Here’s how to change the Alpha Pal Dungeon Boss in Palworld.
How to Change the Alpha Pal Dungeon Boss in Palworld
Dungeons are a great way to level up, catch some rare Pals, and of course, find an Alpha Pal boss. But if you’re looking for a particular Alpha Pal boss, you’ll likely spend hours hoping that it’ll spawn. Unless you use this method.
First, you’ll need to find the boss chamber in the dungeon. This is usually marked by a branching corridor, with the right corridor leading to the boss room being full of water. Once you find the boss room, don’t go in. Instead, stay at the entrance and take a look at the boss.
Make sure you get the name and health bar popup. Once you’ve seen that, and determined it’s an Alpha Pal boss you have no interest in, return to the last room you’re in. This will cause the boss to change.
Then, return back to the boss room to see what new Pal has spawned in. If you don’t like it, repeat the process until you do like it. This method only takes a few seconds.
Here’s how it works. Palworld uses a proximity spawning system. That means when you enter an area Pals spawn in and when you leave, they despawn. By abusing this, you can generate new mobs of Pals really quickly be going in and out of the spawn radius, which is usually defined by out of line of sight. While you can use this method to hunt for rare Pals in the wild, it can also be used to change the boss you encounter at the end of dungeons.
But the boss you’ll encounter will depend on what biome the dungeon is in. I was in the Astral Mountains hunting for a variant Pal, and I encountered the following Pals:
- Tombat
- Mau Cryst
- Nannirest Cryst
- Sibelyx
- Elphidran
- Quivern
- Suzuku Aqua
In Mount Obsidian, you’ll encounter Fire-type Pals and in the starting area you’ll encounter relatively common Pals.
