How to Bypass Barriers in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Upon walking into a new area, you’ll initially only have access to one portion. To venture deeper into the location, you’ll have to cross bridges blocked off by obstacles such as blue eggs, mushrooms, and bones. While you can break these, they require specific tools and upgrades to destroy.

What’s the easier method, then, you may ask? Wishing wells!

Wishing wells are a feature in Disney Dreamlight Valley that allow you to fast travel around the map. After entering a region, you can purchase access to its Wishing well in exchange for Star Coins. After buying the Wishing well, you can fast travel to it from anywhere on the map. Additionally, you can move the Wishing well to any spot in the area.

The secret to bypassing barriers is entering Furniture Mode and moving the Wishing well across the bridge onto the inaccessible part of the area. By doing this, you can teleport to the well, allowing you to traverse the region without issue. Furthermore, you can move it back to its original spot once you’re done. However, you can’t place the Wishing well in other regions, meaning you can’t begin your brand new playthrough by moving your Plaza well to the Forgotten Lands.

It’s important to note that this is likely a bug that the game’s developers will patch in the future. While there’s no news on this currently, and it still works as of publishing this article, it may not work in future updates. As well, if this is fixed later, you may not be able to move your Wishing well back to an accessible area, preventing you from reliably fast traveling. Be very careful while using it to avoid this situation from happening!
