How to Beat Eterllick in The First Descendant

Stop it with the shields!

After going through most bosses in The First Descendant, Eterllick is one of the most confusing ones to beat. The boss isn’t particularly hard, but there is a small boss mechanic that is hard to spot. If you don’t spot it, you’ll never beat Eterllick. Here’s a quick guide on how you can beat Eterllick in The First Descendant.

Eterllick The Tracker Boss Guide: The First Descendant

Eterllick the Tracker is the final boss in the Forgottense Operation, the last mission in the Sterile Land. You can start the Operation in a private or public match, and it is best to play with other players to make it easier.

Eterllick is your typical boss who shoots at you, spawns minions, and fires laser beams. None of Eterllick’s offensive attacks are difficult unless you are severely under-leveled. He has three health bars you must go through, and every time you break one, he’ll spawn some destructible orbs above him. These orbs make Eterllick immune to damage, so you must break all three orbs before you can start shooting the boss again.

Eterllick’s most confusing mechanic is the blue shield that pops up randomly. Eterllick will be immune to damage, and if you shoot through the shields, it may seem like you are doing something at times, but it isn’t what you think.

Around the blue shield, three tiny shields or emblems go around Eterllick. You need to shoot down these small shields to break the blue barrier. These tiny shields don’t break like the destructible orbs, so you can literally focus on one and hope to break the blue shield as fast as possible.

Some players just open fire on the shield, and sometimes, they see the blue shield cracking little by little. However, they are probably unintentionally hitting those tiny shields. Remember, if the damage shows “immune,” you aren’t doing it right. Damage numbers will show when you hit the tiny shields. Even after learning the mechanics and still having trouble with the boss, upgrading your weapons or finding better ones elsewhere would be the best course of action.

The Forgottense Drops in The First Descendant

The operation can drop the following items:

  • Super Senses
  • Fire Conductor
  • Shape Stabilizer Form 2
  • Reload Insight
  • Focus on Non-Attribute
  • Burning Mixture Reactor
  • Forest Gaze (weapon)
  • Assassin’s Edge (weapon)
  • Toxic Mechanics Reactor
  • Amorphous Material Pattern 009

The first three items on the list have an incredibly low drop rate (<2%). However, the Amorphous Material Pattern 009 has a 100% drop rate, so if you need a blueprint or material from this Amorphous Material Pattern, you can farm this Operation non-stop.
