2025 might be the year for smaller indie titles with a unique hook to gain massive popularity on Steam. After R.E.P.O., Schedule 1 is the next game set to dominate the charts, with hundreds of thousands of players starting their careers as herb providers.
It’s essentially Breaking Bad: The Game, complete with your own RV and a path to a thriving drug empire. Just like Breaking Bad, you don’t need to start this venture alone, and you can invite your friends for a highly enjoyable co-op experience where you all work towards a common goal of creating a thriving drug empire. It has its limits, though, and here is everything you need to know about the co-op part of Schedule 1.
How Many Players Can Join Co-Op in Schedule 1?
At the moment, you can invite three players to your lobby for a total of four. At the moment, you can invite three players to your lobby for a total of four.
I assume this limit is in place to maintain balance and prevent players from maximizing profits through sheer manpower. This lobby limit might be increased over time when the developers expand the world size, but for now, only four players can play together and do all the main and side activities. Instead of one lead, you have multiple drug lords.
How To Invite Players in Schedule 1
Inviting players to your lobby is fairly straightforward in Schedule 1. Since the game is currently only available on Steam, these steps are for the PC version only.
- Launch Schedule 1 and click on the plus (+) icon at the top right
- This will open the Steam friends list, and you can select the friends you want to invite. They need to be your friends on Steam.

That’s all you need to do. When you hit Continue, a co-op session will start for Schedule 1.
Since this is an early access release, expect tons of bugs and latency issues during your co-op adventure. I doubt that there are any dedicated servers active at the moment, but for the most part, it’s a pretty seamless and enjoyable multiplayer experience.
Unfortunately, there is no co-op bundle available for the game, but it’s pretty cheap on its own and has regional pricing as well. As of writing, there are no co-op specific achievements in the game, but plenty more that you can unlock together.
It’s possible that matchmaking will be added to the game later on, but I think having a dedicated private lobby is the way to go. You only want the people you can trust running your virtual drug empire with you.
