How Long it Takes to Beat the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo

On average, the Nibelheim episode of the Final Fantasy 7 demo takes around 90 minutes to complete and sees you exploring the town of Nibelheim and Mount Nibel with Cloud and Sephiroth. Of course, like any playthrough, it could take you longer (or shorter!), depending on how long you explore.

At the time of writing, only the Nibelheim episode is available for players to play through, with the Junon episode – which will let you explore a condensed section of the Junon region – becoming available via an update on February 21, 2024.

You’ll need roughly 49GB to download the demo on your PlayStation 5 if you haven’t already, so ensure you clear out your SSD before attempting to download it for a smooth process.

Do You Get Anything for Completing the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo?

If you play the FF7 Demo, you’ll receive the following items if a demo save is found on your PS5 when you first launch Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth when it comes out on February 29:

  • Kupo Charm: An accessory that increases the amount of resources gained when you pick them up.
  • Survival Set: A selection of restorative items, such as Potions and Ether.

You’ll also be able to skip the Nibelheim section of the demo completely upon release, though only if you’ve actually fully completed the Nibelheim episode and downloaded any day-one updates before launching the game.

If you’ve yet to download the demo on your PlayStation 5, you can find out how to download the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo in our guide.
