How Long Is Amnesia: The Bunker?

When I first got Amnesia: The Bunker, I decided to go in blind. I didn’t even play the demo trial, so basically, zero knowledge. I went with Normal difficulty to experience the game the way it’s intended and it took me around seven to eight hours to reach the end credits. I explored a lot, took my time to read all of the notes, and examined all of the pictures…

You also need to take into account that I didn’t know anything about the mechanics, I didn’t remember the complete layout of the hallways and rooms and didn’t know what to expect from the game at all. I died a lot, made a lot of resource management mistakes, and was lost roaming around The Bunker, trying to figure out what the heck to do next. All that adds up.

How Much Time Do You Need to Finish Amnesia: The Bunker?

After completing my initial Normal difficulty run, I went ahead to do a “speedrun” on Easy difficulty to see what that looks like, what are the differences, and to get a better idea of how to complete the game in the most optimized manner. Now, I’m not a hardcore speedrunner, but by skipping the tutorial, it took me just two hours to beat the game on Easy Mode. Make of this what you will.

I think I only died once in that run. Silly me, I was playing music and didn’t hear the audio signal that indicates that my demise is imminent. I won’t tell you what exactly that’s about because I do not want to spoil the game for you.
