Making a Wager in Red Dead Redemption

First, find a challenge that you’re ready to make with some poor soul, then go ahead and lay down your money. This usually comes with one of two general activities – hunting bears, or taking part in a bird shooting challenge. However, these are two separate activities, each with their own strategy.

Hunting Bears in Red Dead Redemption

Bears can be difficult to kill in the game if you’re not packing some heavy firepower, so make sure you stock up. The better weapons you have, the better chance you stand at surviving so you can sell their fur and skin.

Once you’re locked and loaded, head to Tall Trees. This is a great place where you can find a lot of bears roaming about. You can also find random bears marked on your map, but if you don’t feel like searching for them, this is the next best step.

After taking out the number of bears you want to defeat, skin and sell their goods at one of the local shops. You’ll clean up on some cash in no time in Red Dead Redemption.

Bird Shooting Challenge in Red Dead Redemption

Next up is a bird shooting challenge. This can be even more difficult than taking on bears, as you’ll need strong marksmanship to win. Go ahead and use a good amount of money to bump up wagers for each round, even if you don’t do as well as you’d like. Even if you miss, don’t worry – you’re not out of the woods yet.

Save some of your Dead Eye. Once you make a really big wager with your opponent, you can use this and cap off a few birds, and take home a bunch of cash as a result.

On top of that, if you really want to be a scoundrel when it comes to getting cash, you can simply shoot the opponent that you set the wager with. It sounds mean, but you’ll get your money back, along with his! That adds up to quite a bit, and fortunately, there won’t be too many witnesses to get you in trouble. The decision is yours.

Good luck, and go get that money!
