Pokemon Cafe Mix: How to Get Golden Acorns

There are two primary ways to get Golden Acorns in Pokemon Cafe Mix: Complete puzzles in fewer moves and purchase them from the in-game store. As you can see, if you don’t want to shell out some real-life money, the best way to get Golden Acorns is to complete puzzles in as few moves as possible. Specifically, the more unused turns you have at the end of a puzzle, the more acorns you’ll get. So if you finish a puzzle with only one move left and another puzzle with three moves left, you’ll receive more Acorns for the second puzzle. All that being said, sometimes it’ll be hard to beat a puzzle with any remaining moves, so don’t beat yourself up if you’re having trouble with it.

If you have some extra money lying around, then the other option is to purchase one of four in-game Acorns packs. The cheapest pack will cost $0.99 for 1,200 Acorns up to $19.99 for 24,400 Acorns. It’s also worth noting that sometimes players may receive Acorns as a reward for daily check-ins or in-game events. However, this isn’t really a consistent way to get Pokemon Cafe Mix Acorns. But if you’re serious about getting more Golden Acorns, you’ll likely want to pay attention to daily rewards and in-game events.

If you’re new to the game, you might not really be sure what Golden Acorns are or why they’re important. Like most puzzle games, Pokemon Cafe Mix works on a hearts system – meaning every time you fail a puzzle, you’ll lose a heart and will have to wait for it to recharge to get it back. If you run out of hearts, you won’t be able to play the game until they’ve recharged. However, if you have a nice stockpile of Golden Acorns, you can spend some of them to regain hearts, eliminating the wait time. Further, Golden Acorns can also be used to continue failed puzzles and get helpful items.

Pokemon Cafe Mix was officially announced for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices earlier this month and was released on June 24. If you’re out of Acorns and are waiting for your hearts to regenerate, you can always change over to another free-to-play game, Pokemon GO.
