How to Fast Travel in Ghost of Tsushima

Riding your horse is fun, but sometimes you need to get from one place to another a little quicker.

Ghost of Tsushima is a meaty game with plenty of things to do and places to explore. As you explore, you may stray a little too far from a place you need to double back to.

How to Fast Travel in Ghost of Tsushima

To use fast travel in Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll first need to unlock it. Rather than force you to complete a mission or objective to unlock fast travel, you can unlock fast travel in Ghost of Tsushima simply by exploring and discovering new locations.

As you’d expect, you can’t fast travel to a place you haven’t discovered yet. This encourages you to set out on foot, or by horse, and look for new places of interest. Locations you can fast travel not only include towns but also Shinto Shrines and Fox Dens.

The more you discover, the easier it’ll be to use fast travel to get as close to your next desired location as possible.

To fast travel, press “Options” on your controller and look at the game’s map. Seek out the location you want to fast travel to, select it with Triangle, and begin the fast travel process.

You’ll need to wait a few seconds to load into the area you’ve chosen, but once you’re in, you’re ready to resume your journey through the picturesque landscape in Ghost of Tsushima. 

There’s no cost to use fast travel in Ghost of Tsushima which is nice as it allows you to use it whenever you need to.

It’s worth noting that you may not want to use it all the time as you can miss out on interesting things littered throughout the map

To recap, you can fast travel to any location you’ve previously discovered in Ghost of Tsushima. Press Options to view your map, then select the location you want to fast travel to. After a brief loading screen, you’ll find yourself in the area you selected.
