How to Change Name in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare brought a wide range of changes to the fan-favorite first-person shooter franchise. One of the most significant of these changes is the ability for players on all platforms to play with one another, which is a first for the series. This cross-platform capability works thanks to players now using their Activision ID instead of their online names for their respective platforms. However, this means there is a whole different way to change your name if you do not like the one you had previously or when you first started playing the latest entry. Players can begin changing their display ID by heading to the settings tab in the menu and then clicking on the account option. You will then want to click the section for your Activision account. This area is where you will be able to change your display name to whatever you would like by clicking the change display name button and typing your new ID into the box.
