How to Complete Depulso Puzzle Room 1 in Hogwarts Legacy

The first Depulso puzzle room is a dungeon in the Library Annex that you can access after unlocking the Depulso spell. The quickest way to access it is from the Potions classroom, where you can go down the nearby winding staircase and down the hall to find a golden button on the wall. Use Depulso to open it, revealing the dungeon’s entrance.

After entering the puzzle room and going down the hallway, you’ll find a bunch of golden cubes and treasure chests. Using Accio and Depulso, you’ll have to move the golden blocks around to access the treasure, allowing you to get more platforms and, in the end, unlock the final collectible chest.

If you ever have to reset the puzzle room and the cubes at any point, use a basic attack on this spinning golden cube.

Reaching the Depulso Puzzle Room’s First Chest

With all that said, below are the steps you’ll have to take to access each chest:

  1. Use Accio on the middle gold blocks to bring them west toward the starting area. You’ll end up with three blocks together, creating some stairs.
  2. Cast Depulso on their left side to push them south.
  3. Go down the “stairs” and pull them east using Accio.

By this point, they’ll look like this. You can now climb them like stairs and jump to the floating block to access the first chest.

Once you get the first treasure, hit the gold reset to start working on the second!

Getting the Second Treasure

After you reset the puzzle, the two middle blocks should be in the center of the room. You can now take the following steps to get the second chest:

  1. Use Depulso on the middle two blocks to push them east against the wall.
  2. Jump down from the starting platform and look west for another gold block against the wall. Pull it with Accio.
  3. Pull it north with Accio again, so it sits against the stone pillar with the treasure chest.
  4. Look north to find two gold cubes near the starting platform’s staircase and another gold block on the opposite side. Take the single gold block and use Accio to pull it south.
  5. Push this same cube with Depulso to send it east across the never-ending drop.

Once you reach this point, the blocks will look like this.

You can now jump onto one of the nearby stone blocks and hop across the gap to the gold one. From here, climb the other three gold blocks like a staircase and access the second treasure chest! It’s time to hit the gold reset and work on the last part of this puzzle room.

Reaching the Third Treasure Chest

This third treasure chest is on the room’s left side on a stone platform. The strategy for this one is similar to the first but with a couple of extra steps:

  1. Look north to find two gold blocks next to the treasure platform. Use Accio to pull them west toward the starting platform.
  2. Use Accio to pull the middle two gold blocks west toward the starting platform.
  3. Look south at the floating gold cube from before and pull it north using Accio. It’ll stop underneath the gold reset.
  4. Pull the block from above west toward the starting platform, then hit it north using Depulso. By this point, you should have a bunch of gold blocks together, forming a staircase.
  5. Use Accio to pull every gold block east toward the treasure platform.

After you bring the cubes toward the chest, it’ll look like this. Don’t worry about the stone blocks; these only appear after you open the treasure.

The stairs are now against the platform, and you can use them to access the third treasure in this room. The stone bridge will appear, allowing you to walk across to the starting platform easily.

You may have noticed that, up until this point, you’ve only collected gear from these chests. However, upon returning to the starting area and walking through the doorway, you’ll find the collection chest in the center of the walkway, ready for you to open! Unlocking this marks the official completion of Depulso Puzzle Room 1 in Hogwarts Legacy.
