When you first look at the treasure map, you’ll notice three main features: a rhinoceros statue, a dragon fountain, and a door. You’ll have to visit each of these three landmarks to determine where the treasure lies.

Starting from the initial quest spot, head down about six flights of stairs until you reach a large area filled with students and, well, more stairs. As you approach the railing, you’ll spot the rhinoceros status in a large area within the Astronomy wing. Make your way down here to initiate some internal dialogue, leading you to the second part of the quest.

The next place you’ll want to visit is the courtyard. Starting from the rhino statue, head down the nearby staircase again and turn toward the door that leads directly to the yard. Running up to the dragon fountain will initiate more dialogue, followed by the quest marker relocating back to the school.

Go in this direction through the large wooden doors at the back of the courtyard, and rather than turning left into the History of Magic classroom, you’ll want to head right up the staircase.

Upon going up the staircase, you’ll find the portrait depicted on the treasure map. Use Accio toward the handle at the top of the painting to reveal a hidden room with a chest inside. Open the chest and go back to Arthur Plummly to wrap up the Cache in the Castle Quest in Hogwarts Legacy!
