God Changes (Buffs and Nerfs) in SMITE 9.7 Patch

A lot of interesting changes to Gods have happened.

Patch 9.7 has brought so many changes to SMITE and this article will focus on the changes the almighty Gods have suffered from the hands of Hi-Rez Studios. We’ve grouped the buffs and nerfs together, and we have also grouped changes in the 9.7 Patch with the small, incremental updates that came afterward. Here are all God changes in SMITE’s 9.7 patch.

Buffs and Nerfs to Gods in SMITE 9.7 Patch Series

Below, we have sorted Gods in alphabetical order and listed the changes that have happened to them. Some are going to take effect on August 9, 2022 (this will be specified).

AO KUANG

DRAGON KING’S SWORD

  • Decreased time it takes to gain a stack from 12s to 10s

WATER ILLUSION

  • Increased Magical Power Scaling from 60% to 70%

ARES

SHACKLES

  • Now deals 40% extra damage to jungle monsters

CERBERUS

SPIRIT OF DEATH

  • Increased the Healing Reduction applied to nearby enemies from 20% to 25%

PARALYZING SPIT

  • Increased Base Damage from 40/70/100/130/160 to 50/80/110/140/170 (revert)

CHANG’E

GENERAL

  • Increased base HP from 574 to 650
  • Increased base HP per level from 84 to 88
  • Total Health at level 20 from 2254 to 2410

CHERNOBOG

LIVING NIGHTMARE

  • Decreased Damage Mitigation Chernobog gains upon landing from 10/15/20/25/30% to 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%
  • Decreased max stacks on the slow the shadow clones apply from 4 stacks to 3 stacks (decreased max flow from 16% to 12%)

CUPID

HEART BOMB

  • Increased Damage done to Minions from 50% to 60% on both the initial hit and explosion

SHARE THE LOVE

  • Increased Base Heal per Heart from 30/50/70/90/110 to 40/65/90/115/140

  • Now deals 40% extra damage to jungle monsters

  • Decreased Damage from 7.5% of his Basic Attack power to 5%

  • Decreased Mink Damage Scaling from 85% of your Physical Power to 70%

ESET (LIVE AUGUST 9)

DISPEL MAGIC

  • Magical Protection Debuff decreased from 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% to 10% at all ranks

HERA

COMMANDING PRESENCE

  • Increased Cooldown Reduction on Argus from 1s to 1.5s
  • Increased Cooldown Reduction on Commanding Presence from 0.33s to 0.5s

  • Decreased Cooldown from 14s to 13s

  • Hun Batz is now Knockup and Knockback Immune while channeling this ability
  • Increased Base Damage from 75/130/185/240/290 to 85/140/195/250/305

  • Decreased Movement Speed from 20/25/30/35/40% to 20/22.5/25/27.5/30%

  • Decreased Heal on Kill from 80% to 60%
  • Decreased % Physical Penetration on the marked target from 10% + 1% per level to 10% + 0.5% per level (decreased max from 30% to 20%)
