Don't let unexpected storage issues cloud your gaming experience.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Reload Information

It may not come as a surprise that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be rather hefty in size. In fact, back in September 2023, Naoki Hamaguchi told Game Informer during an interview that the game would be 150GB in size. PlayStation Game Size posted on X (formally known as Twitter) that the exact size is 145.250GB. You might want to take some time before the release date, and check that you have enough storage space so that you can download the game!

If you have your storage situation all figured out, and are planning on preloading Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, make sure that you have pre-ordered a copy of the game. There are a few different options to choose from, standard, digital deluxe, and the twin pack. So, choose the one that best suits your needs.

You will be able to preload Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth from February 27, 2024. This gives you two days to get the gigantic download started and completed.

How to Preload Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Fortunately, the process to preload Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is quite simple. Just follow the below steps and you will be ready to play right away on launch day.

  • Go to the PlayStation Store
  • Purchase Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
  • When February 27 comes along, and the preload option is live, selecting Final Fantasy VII from your PS5 home screen will initiate the download.

If you are like me and have preordered a physical copy of the game, you might have to wait just a little longer than your digital counterparts. But there’s plenty to do in the meantime. Such as the upcoming Junon episode of the demo.
