Previously teased in some trailers, we finally got PuPu’s spaceship as a mount in FFXIV as a final reward after so long. Getting the UFO, already one of the best mounts in the entire game, isn’t that difficult either, and players will probably get it naturally at some point.
Where to Unlock the UFO Mount in FFXIV
The UFO mount is a reward for completing the Gentleman at Heart quest, the last one in the Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures series. This is the follow-up quest to Of Duplicity and Duplication, obtained with Delion at Radz-at-Han (X:11.4 Y:11.5). If you have completed the previous Hildibrand quests before the 6.55 patch, this is where you should be headed.
The mount is awarded alongside the A Gentleman to Walk with Me Orchestron Roll by completing the quest. And yeah, it works just like in the cutscenes! Your character’s body is dragged through the air as if it were lifeless while you ride it. Well done, Square, well done.
Completing the Hildibrand quest line is obligatory if the player wants to complete their Manderville Relic Weapons, so you’ll end up getting the mount in one way or another if you’re looking for the most powerful weapons in the game at some point.
You’ll also need to go through Asura in The Glided Araya Trial, also introduced during this patch. It serves as a final obstacle before you can finally ride your spaceship out of this star, so bring it down as soon as you can!
Head to Thavnair to test your new mount as soon as you get it. And make sure you use it as you complete some of the other brief, but important activities introduced in the 6.55 patch such as the Allied Tribes Quest, which also has a nice little bonus at its end.
