Fastest Way to Get Organic Polymer in Ark Ascended: Scorched Earth

It's only one step above an ant farm

It’s way harder to find this white substance in the desert than it ever was on the island. Here’s how to find Organic Polymer in Ark Survival Ascend: Scorched Earth.

Every Way to Get Organic Polymer in Ark Ascended: Scorched Earth

Organic Polymer is necessary for so many items, but finding it might not be intuitive. The fastest and easiest way to get Organic Polymer is to simply kill Mantises. And Mantises are a fairly common enemy in the dunes and in caves, like the artifact cave where you can find crystals. These caves are also home to the Achatina, which is the rare, non-aggressive snail that I’ve, so far, only seen deep underground.

But of course, we can get even more efficient than simply running around trying to find mantises. Personally, I’ve found that ruins, like those found at 78.7, 76.2 are absolutely rife with mantises, making around the ruins in the dunes one of the fastest ways for average players to get Organic Polymer in Ark Ascend: Scorched Earth.

If you want to make yourself an Organic Polymer farm, you can tame and breed mantises. Get as many mantises as possible on your base, then kill them and harvest them with chainsaws for the highest chance of getting organic polymer. But a metal hatchet will do the trick as well.

But if that sounds a little tedious, there are other options. You can ride your wyvern or other large carnivore around the desert and use the left trigger on your controller to bite and kill mantises you find. Doing so will likely reap both chitin and Organic Polymer, making it a casual and efficient way to farm the material.

Once you have Organic Polymer, you can make the Ghillie Suit, which helps disperse heat and keeps you cool, on top of being decently protective and stealth-based. Or you can eat a bunch of Organic Polymer to kill yourself, which is really helpful if you get stuck in the map and don’t have access to console commands.
